چکیده
Background. Pelvic osteotomies are widely used for treatment of young active patients with developmental dysplasia the hip (DDH) Type I according to Crowe or type A Hartofilakidis classifications and absence severe degenerative cartilage lesions. Nowadays, Ganz periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) is most common choice surgeons around world in such patients. The aim study was evaluate radiological functional results DDH. Material Methods. single-center retrospective analysis 49 PAO performed 43 aged 36±9 years. evaluation criteria were Wiberg (AW), Lequesne (AL), Tonnis (AT) angles, joint medialization. evaluated using Harris scale, iHOT-12, VAS before 1 year after, presence complications also monitored. Results. average follow-up period 35±15 months (from 1.0 6.9 years). Radiological parameters improved after surgery compared preoperative ones: AW +19.9° (17.1° vs. 37.0°), AT -11.5° (19.9° 8.4°), AL +14.1° (25.1° 39.2°), medialization -5.5 mm (14.3 8.8 mm) (p<0.001). Functional quality life improved: scale +35.6 points (47 vs 83 points), iHOT-12 +40.9 (44 85 pain level -2.8 (5 2 points) Various developed 20 out cases (40.8%). Neurological resolved conservatively (22.4%). direct correlation between surgical DDH childhood development neurological (R = 0.76; p<0.001). In 9 (18.4%), revision required: 3 — total replacement, reorientation acetabulum, 4 arthroscopic fixation anterior articular lip. 93.9% native surfaces preserved. Conclusion. has good reconstructive capabilities sufficient efficiency. operation allows restore coverage femoral head delays replacement provides results.

Purpose: Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) increases the risk of secondary degenerative changes and subsequent total hip arthroplasty. The postoperative quality of life in patients with DDH who have been born and grown with this disability and adapted to it during the life, is one of the most challenging issues. This study aimed to compare the quality of life of patients with DDH before ...

We studied the medium-term outcome of the Bernese periacetabular osteotomy in 52 patients (58 hips) with symptomatic developmental dysplasia of the hip and a mean age of 37.6 years (13 to 48). The operations were performed between 1993 and 2005 by the senior author with a mean follow-up of 66.7 months (13 to 153). There were 42 women (47 hips) and ten men (11 hips). Patients with developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) who undergo periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) often have labral tears. The objective of this retrospective study was to compare PAO alone with PAO combined with arthrotomy or arthroscopy in DDH patients who had a full-thickness labral tear on magnetic resonance imaging. In total, 47 hips in the PAO group (PAO) were compared with 60 hips in the...
